Keith Patridge Honored for Over 35 Years of Economic Development in McAllen and Reynosa

Business leaders, authorities, and representatives from various organizations and associations came together to honor Keith Patridge, a key figure in economic development in McAllen, Texas, and Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Patridge has dedicated over 35 years to business growth, job creation, and strengthening the binational community.
Since 1988, Patridge has served as the president of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Foreign Trade Zone in the city. Under his leadership, he has collaborated with entrepreneurs worldwide on strategic plans, resulting in the arrival or expansion of 710 companies and the creation of more than 228,000 jobs in sectors such as manufacturing, transportation, logistics, and goods and services.
Patridge's business expertise spans various operations, management, and sales, characterized by a unique vision that has led to regional success. He has always operated under the philosophy of community strengthening through teamwork.
A Significant Impact on Economic Development
Keith Patridge was honored just before his retirement as the leader of the MEDC. At his retirement party, his team highlighted the impact he has made on every economic and social actor he has collaborated with throughout his career.
To commemorate this moment, the MEDC offices were adorned with photos and memories of Keith Patridge. Amid applause, congratulations, anecdotes, gifts, awards, and recognitions, the president and leader of MEDC stated, "This is not a farewell for me because I will always support the region. Great economic development opportunities are coming, and teamwork is crucial. I thank my team and all the leaders who have always sought to work for the community's good."
A Lasting Legacy
Javier Villalobos, the mayor of McAllen, emphasized Keith Patridge's contributions over the years: "Keith is definitely a great leader, and his legacy will continue forever, not only in the arrival of many companies but in all the families he has impacted."
Humberto Martínez Cantú, president of the Index México manufacturing association, highlighted Patridge's role in the growth of the manufacturing industry in Reynosa and the binational region: "Keith was key to the growth of the manufacturing industry, and the industry will always be grateful for his work. Companies from around the world were able to come to Reynosa thanks to his leadership and the advantages of a binational alliance."
Adam González, CEO of the Council for South Texas Economic Progress (COSTEP), said, "He has been a mentor to all of us involved in economic development, and we are confident that he will continue to support the community and regional economic development efforts."
Mike Willys, director of the Index Reynosa Foundation, also expressed his gratitude to Patridge: "We have worked together for many years, and we will always be grateful for his support. Patridge managed to consolidate hundreds of companies and thousands of jobs."
