Nanjing Julong Science & Technology Co., a Chinese supplier specializing in engineering plastic modification, has taken a strategic step by inaugurating its first plant outside China in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. The 4,540-square-meter facility is designed to deliver innovative solutions for the automotive industry — a key sector in the region — and represents an investment of USD 10 million.
Advanced Technology for the Automotive Industry
Equipped with advanced extrusion technology and smart production lines, the plant is located in VYNMSA Industrial Park Sector II, near major OEMs such as Stellantis and General Motors. This strategic location will strengthen North America’s engineering plastics supply chains, a vital step for Julong’s growth and for the local economy.
Local and state authorities highlighted the positive impact of this foreign investment during the inauguration. Tomás Gutiérrez Merino, mayor of Ramos Arizpe, emphasized the job creation and boost to regional competitiveness. Luis Olivares Martínez, Coahuila’s Secretary of Economy, underscored the state’s appeal for investment, supported by favorable conditions in security, infrastructure, and skilled labor.
Sustainability and Material Customization
Julong produces more than 400 types of modified plastics and has expanded its offerings with a strong sustainability focus, integrating eco-friendly manufacturing processes and community engagement programs. The new facility will enable customized materials and rapid testing, benefiting sectors such as automotive, appliances, and sporting goods.
This investment strengthens Coahuila’s position as a strategic hub for attracting global companies, particularly amid the ongoing reorganization of North American supply chains driven by regional integration.
