Jalisco and Romania strengthen ties to promote strategic sectors

With the aim of establishing a first contact to analyze possibilities of economic cooperation between the strategic sectors of Jalisco and Romania, the General Strategic Coordinator of Economic Growth and Development, Xavier Orendáin and the head of the Ministry of Economic Development , Roberto Arechederra, held a rapprochement meeting with Marius Gabriel Lazurca, Romanian Ambassador to Mexico and Francisco Borrego Estrada, Romanian Honorary Consul in Guadalajara.
During the talk, areas of mutual interest were detected in the high-tech, video game and identity drink industry ; The Romanian delegation highlighted that one of the most important companies in Romania in the wine sector and could see in Jalisco opportunities for growth and connection with the tequila industry.
At the meeting in which Carlos Wolstein, director of the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau, was also present, it was also proposed to initiate steps for the twinning of some Romanian cities with Jalisco, accompanied by the linking of companies from both regions.
