Hirotec invested 52.86 million dollars in San Luis Potosi

Hirotec, a company dedicated to printing and assembly of automotive metallic parts such as doors, hoods, fascia, canopies, and exhausts, invested 52.86 million dollars in the new plant settled in Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi.

Takahiro Hayama, president of Hirotec Mexico, underlined that this is the fourth city in the American continent in which one of the plants of the company is built, the main function of the venue is to supply parts to the Series 3 vehicle produced by BMW Plant San Luis Potosi.

Meanwhile, Ozamu Hokida, general consul of Japan in Leon, said that the Japanese company is of world-class, which venue in San Luis Potosi will have as a task to supply the automotive industry in the Bajio area, and underlined the entity constitutes a development pole.

The event held in the company located at the Logistik II Park, Toshifumi Uno, vice-president of Hirotec Corporation, anticipated that its workforce will increase next year to 120 workers.

During his intervention, Antonio Gonzalez, Purchases director of BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosi, recognized Hirotec as a strategic ally for the production of Series 3 and announced that in 7 months they have distributed more than 19,000 units worldwide.

Finally, Juan Manuel Carreras, state governor, thanked the confidence of Japanese investors and underlined that the Metropolitan Area consolidates as a space that gathers the value chain of the industrial production, with supply and manufacturing, which consolidates the entity as a referent in the automotive sector. He noted there are 38 companies of Japanese capital in the SLP entity, which is a sign that the economy in the entity is healthy, strong and dynamic.
