Hannover Fairs launches World Seafood Industry 2020 in Jalisco

Mexico is a leading producer in the fishing and aquaculture sector; mainly of octopus, tuna, shrimp, tilapia and some species of marine fish produced through mariculture. Therefore is that the World Seafood Industry 2020 was announced in Jalisco, which will take place from October 23rd to 25th, 2020 in Expo Guadalajara.
The general director of Hannover Fairs Mexico, Bernd Rohde, announced that Mexico is a power in the fishing and aquaculture sector globally. “It is the fourth most important fishing industry of the American continent and our country is a leading producer of several products. For example, we are the third global producer of octopus, the fourth in tuna, seventh of shrimp and the eight in lobster. Due to this strength, it makes sense that a fair like World Seafood Industry takes place in our country.”
Azul Ogazon, director of the World Seafood Industry, took the time to underline that the event is the main forum in the specialized country in this sector. Added that it is expected to gather 5,000 professionals of the industry, occupy 5,000 m2 of the exhibition, have 100 specialized exhibitors of the sector and have a program of more than 500 conferences and seminars.
During his intervention, the general coordinator of the General Strategic Coordination of Growth and Development of the State of Jalisco, Alejandro Guzman, said that the World Seafood Industry will be a launching that will allow Jalisco and the country take a leap in the fishing and aquaculture industry, transfer technology, customize the sector and strengthen the state to be a power in fishing and aquaculture innovation.
Likewise, he thanked
the directives of Deutsche Messe for making Jalisco an ally for the event and
start a new stage for the state and Mexico’s industry.
