Global Leader NIDEC to Boost Reynosa Economy with $23 Million Expansion

The global leader in industrial alternator manufacturing,
NIDEC, announced a $23 million investment to expand its operations in Reynosa,
Tamaulipas.
The announcement was made during a meeting led by Governor
Américo Villarreal Anaya, who highlighted the significance of this investment
for technological development and innovation in the region. Additionally, he
shared that 384 jobs will be created, thereby boosting the local economy.
Juan Carlos Sánchez Zamora, NIDEC's plant manager,
formalized the investment announcement at a recent ceremony, which was attended
by Raúl Setién, President of the INDEX Maquiladoras Association of Reynosa.
Furthermore, the Secretary of Economy, Ninfa Cantú Deándar,
and Humberto Martínez, President of the National Maquiladora Association,
expressed their enthusiasm for NIDEC's investment. They stated that it
reaffirms international confidence and supports the maquiladora industry in
Tamaulipas.
NIDEC, a subsidiary of the Japanese group Nidec Leroy Somer,
currently operates two plants in Tamaulipas and employs
around 2,000 people.
