Geodis opens offices in Zapopan

Geodis Freight Forwarding, French company dedicated to the export and import of goods, opened its offices in Zapopan, Jalisco, at Andares Corporativo Paseo building.
Currently, Geodis Freight Forwarding specializes in logistics for high technology products.
The opening was held on April 11th at Salon Panoramico at 19:00 hours, customers and company collaborators gathered.
Miguel Angel Munoz, general director of Geodis Mexico, underlined the new facilities and incentivized human talent in the organization to continue working with enthusiasm.
“I am very happy, it is the end of a hard management effort, I have had the fortune of having a great team here in Guadalajara and finally providing them these facilities is to reward the effort they have deployed this couple of years,” he said.
He said that nationally the company has more than 1,500 workers and Guadalajara will be the second workforce after Mexico City.
“I am proud to know we have a big workforce in Guadalajara. We believe with these new projects we will continue growing more, we are proud of contributing to the state of Jalisco,” he referred.
NEW ROUTE TO HONG KONG
Meanwhile, Robert Krautheim, sales vice-president in America for Geodis, announced a new cargo route that will be made together with National airline, which will go from Guadalajara to Hong Kong.
It is worth mentioning that the route will be fulfilled directly, which, as directives said, makes them unique in the market.
Federico Chavez, national security director for Geodis, underlined that the new route that will connect Mexico and Asia, encouraging economy seeking new markets for Jalisco businessmen wanting to quickly connect to Asian southwest.
“First, it is important to underline the direct service, you depart from Hong Kong, arrive in Guadalajara, they only recharge jet fuel in Anchorage, Alaska, it is a direct service and we will have a 24/7 service, with information, all data needed by customers will be provided by us and the service is assured. I believe it is important for the industry, we are hoping to have a competitive price for the industry to thrive in Jalisco, at the end, we are a company settled in the State and we seek growing,” he noted.
Finally, Miguel Angel Munoz, CEO of Geodis Mexico, said that he hopes the company continues growing in the four regions in which it operates and are positioned: North, West, Bajio and Center.
