Ford begins production of its new Maverick pick-up in Hermosillo

Ford of Mexico celebrated the start of official production of the new Ford Maverick truck at the Hermosillo , Sonora Plant .
Enrique Araiza, Manufacturing Director, declared that thanks to the talent, quality and commitment of the collaborators, this factory is the perfect place to assemble the new Pick-up.
“We have adapted our Hermosillo Plant to meet the requirements and needs of this new Pick-up, following the standards that have characterized us as one of the assembly plants with the highest international recognition of quality. Today we are witnessing the beginning of another great stage for Ford of Mexico ”, he affirmed.
The North American company, following its commitment to create essential and high-quality products and services, has implemented a production and logistics strategy that will allow it to meet the demand of the more than 100,000 units that have already been reserved in the United States from the unveiling of the new Maverick , so the first units produced will be satisfying this market.
Employees of the Hermosillo Plant are also recognized for producing another of the iconic models such as Ford Bronco Sport, which has been the recipient of multiple awards, including Top Safety Pick + , awarded by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) , thanks at your level of security; Best of What's New 2020 by Popular Science and, Best Compact / Midsize SUV by Esquire Magazine .
