The governor of Tlaxcala, Marco Mena, met with Paolo Romanacci, director of Enel Green Power Mexico, to realize the expansion of investments of the Italian company in Tlaxcala, through the Magdalena I and IV projects that will be developed in 2020.

The production of renewable energy represents an option to supply the country's demand, reduce the risk of inhibiting investments and avoid the possibility of blackouts in the national territory.

Marco Mena stressed that the trust of the multinational company towards Tlaxcala will consolidate the state's potential in terms of generating clean energy.

The advantages of producing this type of energy alternatives such as its price and sustainable impact in favor of environmental care.

The expansion of Enel Green Power's operations in Tlaxcala takes place after the inauguration of the Magdalena II solar power plant in November last year, with an investment of more than 150 million dollars.

Governor Mena made reference to the possibilities offered by these types of alternatives: “Renewable energy in Mexico is a great option to supply your energy demand. In addition to clean, it is also cheaper. The risk of inhibiting investment and running out of sufficient energy must be avoided. The ‘shadow’ of blackouts in the country should be avoided now.

On November 27, 2019, the “Magdalena II” solar energy park was inaugurated in Tlaxcala which, with more than half a million panels, is one of the most important photovoltaic energy supply facilities in Mexico, being the one with More technology today.

The director of Institutional Relations of Enel Green Power México, Rafael Burgos; the secretary of Economic Development of the state, Jorge Luis Vázquez Rodríguez and the head of the office of the governor of Tlaxcala, Alberto Amador Leal.
