Draxton starts expansion of its plant in San Luis Potosí

To serve new projects for its clients in North America, Draxton began the construction of an expansion of its production plant in San Luis Potosí , in the city's Industrial Zone.

Draxton is a global company dedicated to the casting and machining of components for brake, engine and chassis systems for the mobility industry  on a global level, with operations in six countries on three continents: Europe, Asia and North America; and with plants strategically located in San Luis Potosí, in the state of Guanajuato and in Coahuila in Mexico.

During the event Jorge Rada, director of operations of GIS , indicated that the expansion of the plant will represent an investment of 30 million dollars to increase production capacity and be able to manufacture calipers and brackets, highly complex and safety parts for brake systems. of vehicles and with which they will reach more than 600,000 tons per year of foundry globally.

In his message, Juan Carlos López, president of the Board of Directors of GIS, pointed out that they have plants of all the Businesses: Draxton, Vitromex and Cinsa in Potosí lands, in which they have more than 1,500 direct collaborators in this entity.

It should be noted that Draxton is part of GIS , a Mexican company listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange with operations on three continents.

In the laying of the first stone, the presence of the Secretary of Economic Development of the Government of San Luis Potosí, Arturo Segoviano; the municipal president of the capital city, Enrique Galindo; the president of the GIS Board of Directors, Juan Carlos López Villarreal and the CEO of GIS, Manuel Rivera.
