Continental to build high technology plant

The German company Continental, began the construction of its plant in Aguascalientes, which will have the capability of being an important manufacturer of high technology electronic components for the automotive sector and one of the main actors in the development of the current mobility angle.


Furthermore, with the launching of this plant the company seeks to create world mobility trends that will be used in future cars.


“We choose Aguascalientes for its great geographic location, economic conditions and of safety, mainly, for being a state and region that has what is needed to cover personnel requirements of a high technology plant. We are convinced about the talent of this region to begin a success story for Continental and Aguascalientes,” said Ina Seterbakken, project leader of the plant in Aguascalientes.


The plant will be located at FINSA Industrial Park and it is anticipated that for the next five years more than 52 million euros will be invested for such a project.


This new production center of Continental will generate about 1,000 new jobs, this way, they will be open, collaborative and prone to gather, which promotes creativity and ideas exchange in a work environment.


“Continental seeks to be the most attractive employer and progressive in all markets where it is present, and we are always seeking the way of making possible having a team of workers happy and satisfied,” added Marco Galluzzi, vice-president of human affairs of Continental Mexico.  Likewise, this industrial building will be linked with public and private universities in the area by providing opportunities for combining academic knowledge with experience to outstanding students.


According to Continental, we are convinced that teamwork could strength the entity system, developing professionals, through the creation of a specialized system to improve conditions that generate personnel prepared within the automotive sector.


“I am convinced that if we continue working together we will turn Aguascalientes into a reference point within the ecosystem of Industry 4.0, innovation and creation of mobility technology in Mexico, Let us build success together!,” said Ina Seterbakken, leader of the project of the Aguascalientes plant.

Finally, the corporate said that human talent in Aguascalientes will help to achieve the company’s objectives, which also will contribute to encouraging the development and dynamism of the entity.
