May 27, 2026
Collaboration between academia and the logistics industry gained new momentum in Coahuila with the signing of an agreement between the Coahuila Logistics Cluster and the Autonomous University of Coahuila (UAdeC). The agreement seeks to develop academic programs, applied research and specialized talent training aligned with the current needs of the productive sector.
Coahuila strengthens ties between universities and logistics companies
The alliance aims to strengthen the state’s logistics competitiveness through training schemes focused on the real demands of companies established in the region. The agreement includes the creation of joint projects that will bring students and professionals closer to strategic areas of the supply chain, transportation and industrial operations.
In a context where logistics has become a key factor for manufacturing competitiveness in northern Mexico, the agreement seeks to consolidate a collaborative ecosystem between universities and companies. Coahuila maintains a strategic position within northern Mexico’s industrial corridor thanks to its connection with sectors such as automotive, steel, advanced manufacturing and foreign trade.
Specialized talent training gains importance in industrial competitiveness
The Coahuila Logistics Cluster highlighted that the development of specialized human capital is essential to respond to the growth of supply chains and the demand for more efficient operations. Academic collaboration will make it possible to design professional profiles with skills focused on innovation, digitalization and operational efficiency.
UAdeC will participate in the development of research and training programs that contribute to modernizing logistics processes and strengthening regional economic development. These types of agreements also open opportunities for internships, technology projects and knowledge transfer between the education sector and companies.
The trend of collaboration between universities and industrial clusters has gained strength in different states across the country amid the growth of nearshoring and the expansion of manufacturing operations. In Coahuila, strengthening specialized talent seeks to consolidate the state’s capacity to attract new investments and maintain its competitiveness within global supply chains.
The integration between education and industry is emerging as one of the pillars for logistics growth in northern Mexico, especially in regions with a high concentration of manufacturing and international trade operations.
