Canadian company Napoleon, a global leader in home appliances, inaugurated its new assembly plant in Ramos Arizpe, consolidating Coahuila as a strategic destination for foreign direct investment in manufacturing.
With an investment exceeding 200 million pesos and the creation of more than 200 direct jobs, the facility will focus on assembling gas, charcoal, and electric grills for the North American market, with future expansion plans toward South America. This plant marks a key step in Napoleon’s global growth strategy by leveraging the region’s industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce, and logistical connectivity.
Mike Tzimas, President of Napoleon, emphasized: “Mexico and Coahuila have the resources, talent, and infrastructure necessary to support our growth. This plant not only enhances our ability to serve North America but also positions us to expand into South America.”
Coahuila Strengthens Industrial Investment
During the opening ceremony, Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting investors and job creators in the state. “We continue to attract more investments and jobs for Coahuila. Here, we are strong allies of everyone who wants to work, start a business, or invest,” he said.
Jiménez highlighted Coahuila’s key conditions for industrial development, including a qualified workforce, labor stability, rule of law, and security, positioning it as one of Mexico’s most competitive states.
Meanwhile, Luis Olivares Martínez, Secretary of Economy, stated that Napoleon’s arrival confirms Coahuila as a state that provides certainty, trust, and results, encouraging global companies to invest in its people.
The Ramos Arizpe plant underscores Napoleon’s commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient products designed to enhance home living while strengthening its presence in Latin America.
