BorgWarner expanded its
Turbo production plant on its Ramos Arizpe campus, to produce REMAN turbocompressors,
goal achieved thanks to the joint work between private initiative and public
sector.
The recently expanded
plant, exclusively manufactured new turbochargers; by adding 5,000 square
meters, it will provide higher manufacturing and storage capability, expanding
its general operations.
This expansion, ready to
begin production, will increase the size of Turbo plant to more than 12,000
square meters. The Ramos Arizpe complex
also has a manufacturing plant from Emissions division, established since 2008.
“This expansion allow
us satisfying the increasing market need of our REMAN turbochargers, which have
the same high performance level and reliability than our original equipment
products,” said Leonel Ruiz, plant manager of Turbo in Ramos Arizpe.
Jaime Guerra Perez,
secretary of Economy in the State, with the representation of the governor
Miguel Angel Riquelme Solis, and together with directives from the company and
the Ramos Arizpe BorgWarner plant, opened this expansion, same that will generate
about 100 new jobs.
At this opening were
present: Jorge Ramon Montemayor, undersecretary of Promotion and Strategic
Projects; Ricardo Schumm Cerpa, undersecretary of Economic Development; as well
as the director of Promotion and Investment, Sofia Delgadillo Diaz.
The great relation with the
