Estafeta Carga Aérea ( ECA ) confirmed that it obtained the IOSA Certification , which is the highest international recognition in Operational Safety .

This guarantee is granted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to airlines that comply with its Operational Safety Audit  (IOSA) standards, and to which Estafeta has belonged since June 2009.

This certification represents practices of excellence in terms of operational security , as it evaluates the control and management systems of airlines at an international level. The standard allows to be viewed as a reliable air operator before audits of airlines and regulatory bodies, access to quality audit programs under the IATA direction and the permanent updating of manuals and best practices in the industry.

To receive recertification, ECA had to comply with a rigorous audit of its operational management and control systems, in accordance with more than 900 standards applicable to the following seven areas:

  • Organization and administration system (ORG)
  • Flight operation (FLT)
  • Operational Control/Flight Dispatch (DSP)
  • Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance (MNT)
  • Ramp Operations (GRH)
  • Cargo Operations (CGO)
  • Aviation Security (SEC)

The audit of Estafeta Carga Aérea was carried out by the firm ARGUS PROS  ( Partners and Resources for Operational Safety ), one of the auditing organizations accredited by IATA .

Upon satisfactorily resolving the audit observations, and after the quality review procedure applied by IATA, ECA received the IOSA recertification that expires in June 2023. Currently, there are around 408 airlines worldwide, of which 74 are Latin American. and only six Mexican companies, including ECA , have this certification.

For Estafeta Air Cargo , the document offers greater certainty and security for its customers, therefore, Ingo Babrikowski, general director of Estafeta , confirmed that they are a company that has security as its main value, and to honor it, they adhered to the greatest international standards that favor it.

"The IOSA Certification helps us to place all our processes at the best level, an IOSA operator is a guarantee of compliance and quality," he said.

Estafeta Air Cargo covers 13 air stations in Mexico and Miami , is based in the Estafeta Logistics Hub in San Luis Potosí, where the company also has a controlled facility authorized by the SAT for the administration of foreign trade merchandise, with availability of storage, handling and custody of the cargo in facilities adjacent to the Airport Customs , which allows processing the importation of light and heavy cargo under the simplified scheme of up to 50,000 shipments per day.
