Querétaro is a state with a total population of 2,368,467 inhabitants, making it one of the regions with the most dynamic demographic growth in the country. The gender distribution is balanced, with 51.4% women and 48.6% men.
The municipalities with the highest population in Querétaro are the state capital, Querétaro, with 1,049,777 inhabitants; San Juan del Río with 297,804 inhabitants; and El Marqués with 231,668 inhabitants. These municipalities are important centers of economic, cultural, and commercial activity that drive the development of the region.
The 51% of the surface of the state presents dry and semi-dry climate located in the central region; 24.3% represent subhumid warm climate in the Sierra Madre Oriental region; 23% have a subhumid temperate climate located in the southern, central and northeast regions; 1% presents humid warm climate towards the northeast and the remaining 0.7% present itself a humid temperate climate to the northeast of the state.
The average annual temperature of the state is 18°C, the minimum average temperature is 6°C during the month of January and the average maximum temperature is 28°C occurs in the months of April and May.
