ZF Group inaugurates its technology plant in Nuevo León

ZF Group inaugurated its electronic technology manufacturing plant in Nuevo León, consolidating its Engineering Hub in Latin America in the state.
In this complex, it will produce advanced technology systems and its first Research and Development Center , which are located within the facilities of the Finsa Industrial Park in the municipality of Guadalupe.
The event was attended by Iván Rivas, head of the Ministry of Economy of Nuevo León ; María Cristina Díaz, mayor of Guadalupe; Martin Fischer, member of the Board of Directors of the ZF Group , and Sergio Argüelles, president and CEO of Finsa.
The Monterrey Campus will be the spearhead in the country's automotive transformation, since electrification, autonomous driving and integrated safety projects, among others, will be developed there.
In addition, it will have a manufacturing plant of 21,450 square meters where high-tech electronic products will be manufactured, an Information Technology center and a Shared Services center , which will be in charge of administrative functions for the entire North American region.
ZF is the world's third largest auto parts maker , and is driving " Next Generation Mobility " by developing technology for passenger, commercial and industrial vehicles, with a focus on technologies for autonomous driving, electric mobility, chassis control such as brakes, steering and suspension.
In addition, the company will work a group of shared global corporate services.
In the operational area, ZF and the Research Center currently have 40 people, but in the next five years they will require more than 1,100 people.
In engineering they are going to work with technological development concepts that will not be seen for another 10 years, for clients like Tesla and from regions such as the United States, Europe and Asia.
In Mexico it has 16 plants and employs more than 25,000 people , making it the second largest workforce for ZF globally, and the first German employer in the country.
