Witzenmann expands its operations with an investment of 14 million dollars in Guanajuato

Witzenmann increases its productive capacity by 100%

With an  investment of 14 million dollars ,  Witzenmann expanded its operations in Apaseo El Grande,  Guanajuato , generating 352 new jobs.

This expansion includes  the construction of a new warehouse, service areas and offices , which will make it possible  to manufacture high-tech and new generation products , increasing its production capacity by 100 percent.

The new plant has 3,500 square meters of construction , a space that will generate 352 new jobs in the next five years, which will be added to the more than 1,200 additional indirect jobs that are estimated to be generated.

It should be noted that the German company  Witzenmann has been operating in Guanajuato since 2015, and with this expansion, it has invested more than 40 million dollars in Guanajuato in eight years.

This project also includes the installation of 1,000 solar cells, with the intention of reducing the environmental footprint through the use of clean and renewable energy. The company was certified as  a Great Place To Work in 2021, ranking it as one of the 10 best places to work in the Bajío for its work environment.

Innovation for the automotive industry 

Witzenmann de México currently manufactures  flexible couplings for the automotive industry . Its clients include  Audi, Mercedes Benz, General Motors, Tenneco, Volkswagen and Rivian (manufacturer of electric cars in the United States).

The new project includes the  pipeline for cooling electric car batteries, pressure accumulator for intelligent suspension of premium cars, transfer of all the fulles from North America to Mexico for internal combustion engines.

Present at the event were José Oliveros Usabiaga, municipal president of Apaseo el Grande; Wolfgang Dold, German ambassador in Mexico; Andreas Kampfe, CEO of Witzenmann ; Carlos Talamantes, general director of  Witzenmann Guanajuato ; and Alejandro Hernández Fonseca, Undersecretary of Investment Attraction of the government of the state of Guanajuato .
