Walmart announces investment for 1,900 million pesos

Walmart  presented its investment plan for the next two years in the State of Mexico, it plans to allocate 1,900 million pesos to open 30 new stores in 21 municipalities .

During a work meeting with directors of the multinational chain of stores, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, governor of the state, assured that this injection of capital will be generating more than 1,700 direct jobs . 

In the presence of Guilherme Loureiro, president and CEO of Walmart de México y Centroamérica ; Alberto Sepúlveda Cosío, Executive Vice President and General Director of the Legal Area of ​​Institutional Affairs for Walmart de México y Centroamérica; Rodrigo Flores Amezcua, deputy director of Corporate Affairs of Walmart de México y Centroamérica, and Pablo Peralta García, head of the Secretariat of Economic Development , the state president recognized the work and solidarity of Walmart , by supporting vulnerable groups by financing development projects community, as well as the constant donation of nutritious food.

During this work meeting, the presence of this company was highlighted in the entity in which, more than 56 years ago, it opened its first store in Tecamachalco , and has been present in the hearts and in the economy of Mexican families.

 In addition, Walmart has deployed stores in more than half of the Mexican municipalities, with almost 420 and seven distribution centers , which have meant more than 34,000 jobs and have given the most vulnerable families the possibility of acquiring quality products at low prices. .
