Volex lays the first stone of its new plant in San Luis Potosí

In a symbolic event marking the beginning of a new chapter for the local industry, Volex celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for its new plant in San Luis Potosí. The event took place on Monday morning along Boulevard Manuel Gómez Morín, in the Milpillas neighborhood, next to the Golden Friction company.

 

The ceremony was attended by municipal authorities, representatives of civil associations, special guests, outstanding workers, and members of the company's executive team. Among those present were Master Enrique Francisco Galindo Ceballos, Mayor of San Luis Potosí; Engineer Elia Korina Toro Reyna, Director of Economic Development for the Municipality; Lic. Emilio de Jesús Ramírez Guerrero, General Secretary of the F.T.E. – C.T.M.; and Mrs. Imelda Elizalde Martínez, President of Canacintra.

 

During his speech, Raúl Villarreal, Vice President and General Manager of Volex, highlighted the significance of the project for both the company and the region:

 

“It is an honor to be here today on such a meaningful occasion for Volex San Luis Potosí, for our community, and for the future of the industry in our region. Today, we’re not just breaking ground on a new building—we’re laying the foundation for a deeper commitment to growth, innovation, and above all, to people.”

 

The new plant represents a key investment in the economic and social development of the state. According to Villarreal, the facility will create over 2,000 jobs, significantly strengthening the local labor market and opening new opportunities for families in San Luis Potosí.

 

With this initiative, Volex reaffirms its long-term vision and further establishes San Luis Potosí as a strategic partner within its global operations network.

 

The event concluded with a message of gratitude from the company to all those who made this new chapter possible, emphasizing the value of teamwork and the trust of the community in their shared growth journey.
