Trouw Nutrition places the first of its plant in Querétaro; invest 1,000 million pesos

The Dutch company, Trouw Nutrition , laid the first stone of its plant dedicated to the production of food and nutritional additives for farm animals, in which it will invest 1,000 million pesos .

During the event, the ambassador of the Netherlands in Mexico, Wilfred Mohr, highlighted that the construction of this plant is a milestone for the growth of Trouw Nitrition , as well as an example of successful collaboration between the Netherlands and Mexico in the agricultural sector, since both countries complement each other to produce food efficiently and sustainably. 

“The Netherlands is among the 10 most important allies of Querétaro, 37 Dutch companies invested almost 400 million dollars in the state during the last 20 years, this is a clear sign that the state of Querétaro offers adequate conditions for foreign companies, for example a government that creates qualified labor, security, quality of life, human, commercial and economic development,” he said. 

In his speech, the Secretary of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, informed that in the state the food industry is the third that contributes the most to the value of manufacturing production.  

He reported that for the first two months of 2023, the food sector produced 9,854.83 million pesos, which represents an annual growth of 5.8%, a sign that the industry is growing.

He stressed that the arrival of the company will contribute to the objectives set in Querétaro for the care of the environment, since they have processes in which the circular economy system is paid.
