Triple helix launches the Center for Industrial Innovation 4.0

The Center for Industrial Innovation 4.0 was opened, the first on its kind in the country with an investment of 26 million pesos the space will give a way to talent development and integration of Machine to Machine Technologies, Internet of Things and Big Data, this means what houses the ecosystem of the Initiative Nuevo Leon 4.0.
The project was promoted by MIMEC, CANIETI, U-ERRE, the Federal and State Governments; in addition, Dionisio Garza Sada, who is the president of the University Council and general director of Topaz, recognized that other big national and international institutions also participated in a collaborative manner to have an impact in the development of companies and Monterrey talent.
“The most important element for global leading companies is talent and therefore it is urgent for all get back to the university to develop new competences that digitally transform our companies. The recipe for success we have today and tomorrow will not work anymore; and only introducing ourselves in a digital and convincing manner we will have the opportunity of living in the future. Without forgetting that the people in the ethical aspect of the labor relationship is critical,” Garza Sada assured.
The laboratory has as main objective the development of new talent and the spread of technology associated with technology 4.0; in addition, 87 professionals trained with effective communication protocols and of Big Data Architecture will participate on it.
The extension of the Center for Innovation covers 420 square meters and has co-development spaces, equipped for conceptualization, design, development, simulation and testing to production smart cells; it is worth mentioning that the German company Festo provided the industrial control and automation equipment of the laboratory.
Likewise, Roberto Russildi, secretary of
Economy and Labor in Nuevo Leon explained that Initiative 4.0 is an example of
the change in society and with that the Government was the one deciding not
taking the control of things and that this Lab 4.0 was fulfilled by the entire
society. “The responsibility of Nuevo
Leon being alright is of companies, they have to understand from where digital
transformation is coming and build it on their companies; on the other hand,
the citizen always has to adapt to the challenges this transformation implies,”
said the secretary.
