Mckinsey & Company and the Chamber of Industry and Transformation in Nuevo Leon celebrated the opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Center 2 (AMC,) the plant will be focused in the development of skills in a live way and has the most innovative methods in the market.

Juan Ignacio Garza Herrera, president of the Chamber, informed that this is the first experimental training center in Mexico.  “The AMC2 emerges from the need of the business sector to acquire skills, technologies and add to the new trends under an adverse and changing environment.  The Center distinguishes from other training options by using a manufacture in miniature that fulfills real products, through equipment and real controls.”

The Center located at the Technological Innovation and Research Park (PIIT, by its Spanish initials) in Apodaca had an investment of 1.5 million dollars and it becomes the model factory number 27 around the world and the second in Latin America.

Likewise, Garza Herrera said that the experiential and direct practice at the operations floor is the base of learning for executives, managers, supervisors and operators of companies, “Therefore it becomes a powerful instrument for the industry in the entity and especially in the micro, small and medium companies that hardly have specialized areas of development or training for operative and managing personnel.”

Meanwhile Luis Salcedo, partner of Mckinsey & Company, said that during their talks with general directors of companies, the subject of development from skills is always a priority for companies, “around 25 % of the directives assure that skills can internally developed, but when we talk about a transformation in general terms only 1/3 achieve being successful and it results from the gap of its capabilities; that is why this alliance was fulfilled to achieve a better learning technique of a person.  There are many types of training, but these centers points out to the field method and forum where people trained here go to their companies, apply it and replicate it inside the brand.  The study plans are for high executives to operators, for them to learn inside a balance between theory and practice.”

While the undersecretary of Industry and Commerce from the Ministry of Economy, Jose Rogelio Garza Garza underlined the importance of the creation of this Center, as he says that it goes together with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“The opening of this industrial building aligns with one of the pillars of the polices of the Industry 4.0 which is innovation and adoption of technologies, processes and methodologies with which is started to work in a physical and digital world, creating an cyberphsical environment, such as technological State that has bet on human capital, which is fundamental for an organization,” ended Garza Garza.
