TechOps announces expansion in Querétaro; They foresee more than 2,000 jobs in three years

The company specializing in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), TechOps announced the expansion of its workshop at the Querétaro International Airport , in which it expects to generate 320 new direct jobs and 550 indirect jobs in the short term.
The projection released by the company considers a hangar for four operating lines that would be added to the existing 16, and in the medium term, a hangar to develop maintenance capabilities for the Airbus A320 family .
Greg Colgan , executive director of MRO Holdings , of which TechOps MX is a part, said he was happy to invest in the region and mentioned that 1,200 more workspaces could be completed in the next two or three years.
"Meanwhile, we continue to take advantage of the conditions of the market and the local community, as well as their support also at the airport and in their office," he said.
He added that local suppliers of the different services that are necessary to support the operations that the company is in charge of will benefit indirectly .
During the expansion announcement, Mauricio Kuri González , governor of Querétaro , recalled that, since its installation, the company has created a large number of jobs and its expansion within the next six months will increase the entity's aerospace capabilities.
“It is the number one company at the national level when it comes to aircraft maintenance, and the second in Latin America . Querétaro is part of this great company, providing a good number of jobs, very well-paying jobs,” he detailed.
