Taiwanese company places first stone in Colinas de Leon

In order to continue increasing the automotive sector potential in Mexico, Taigene Group placed the first stone of its plant in the Colinas de Leon Industrial Park.  The Taiwanese company specialized in the manufacturing of components and electric systems for motorcycles and vehicles, chose Guanajuato for the benefits it has regarding infrastructure and logistics, since they will be close their customers, which will facilitate communication of their products development and delivery.

 

Joy Chung, Board executive director and COO of Taigene Group, said that since the beginning of the company they have made continuous effort to proactively expand with their customers’ portfolio and quality products companies’ demand.

 

“Throughout time we have released different new products spontaneously developed to answer assemblers’ demands, this is possible thanks to continuous incorporation of new equipment and technological research processes,” she said.


Taigene Group has plants in countries such as South Africa, India and in some areas of China.  And in order to keep the competitive advantage of internationalization and sustainable operation, they chose Mexico to continue this objective.


“We have known for some time that we required having operations in Mexico, but we are happy of being able to place the first stone, I consider we arrived at good moment and it is to generate products for the present and future,” she noted.


At their new plant they will be manufacturing electric elements for Jeep Grand Cherokee and safety steering for some General Motors vehicles, as well as other elements and components required by the industry.


“We have great assembling technology and in engines operations.  The intention is creating a solid business.  Taigene operates with several principles such as customer service and care, likewise in supporting collaborators for them to continue developing in and outside the company.  We are committed in rooting in Leon and with this event we confirm our long term commitment with the country,” she noted.


Taigene Group was established in 1970, year in which they begin manufacturing imitation stone generators and high voltage coils for motorcycles.  Through time they innovated in research areas, development and startup generators of motorcycles production and voltage regulators, as well as startup engines for cars and other electric equipment for wipe washers and of air conditioner.  It currently has an important customer’s portfolio such as Ford, TGB, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Yamaha, BRP, Ducati, Chrysler, Chevrolet, Citroën, Ferrari, General Motors, ThyssenKrupp, Porsche and John Deere.
