During the 49th National Index Convention, Luis Bazán, Director of the Pharr International Bridge, highlighted the infrastructure’s competitive advantages in international trade processes to business leaders from various Mexican regions.
He emphasized the bridge’s strategic location between Pharr, Texas, and Reynosa, Tamaulipas, positioning it as a key route for perishable goods and essential for the manufacturing industry’s imports and exports.
Bazán also announced the ongoing expansion project that will double the bridge's capacity, allowing for the daily crossing of up to 10,000 units. Products such as computer monitors, televisions, avocados, cables, medical instruments, and berries are among the most frequently imported items from Mexico to the U.S.
Manufacturing leaders at the convention agreed on the growth and development opportunities this bridge provides as a preferred trade route.
