Standard Profil expands its plant in Guanajuato; will increase the production of sealing systems for automobiles

Mexico is a strategic production base for the automotive giants, where the experience, quality and research and development power of the industry that settles here are combined. Thus, within this scenario, the company Standard Profil decided to expand the facilities of its plant located in the Amistad Industrial Park , in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato. 

The Turkish-owned company has 40 plants around the world. The Mexico factory, opened in 2014, is Standard Profil Group's first investment in North America.

The investment made by the company for this expansion amounts to 10 million euros and it is expected that 200 more jobs will be generated, for a total of 1,150 employees. Here it manufactures sealing systems for the automotive industry.

Its main clients are Ford, Tesla, Volvo, Rivian and Audi, to name a few.

Klaus Elmer, CEO of Standard Profil, said that with this new investment they plan to reach more markets in the region, in addition to attracting more clients.

He commented that it is gratifying for them to be located in Guanajuato due to the opportunities for industrial development that the region offers, which is demonstrated in the growth of the company since 2014.

“I appreciate the efforts of the Standard Profile leadership team and the valued employees we have. Many of them have been with us since 2014 and this has to do with the climate of mutual trust and the synergy between all those who work here”, he expressed. 

He stressed that Mexico is one of the key players in North America, it is a supplier to the giants of the automotive industry in the region and, consequently, it has enormous experience in the field.

The CEO highlighted that Standard Profil seeks to transform these attributes into its own advantages by transferring the technological capabilities and quality that its products have achieved, now from Mexico to the entire automotive industry in America. With the strength and benefits of this production location, Standard Profil will find itself in a much more competitive position in North America.
