SLP will have new investments and industrial parks

The state of San Luis Potosi has a total of 19 industrial parks, located on the four regions of the entity, which represent more than 3,000 hectares of availability for the arrival of new companies.
“Most of them are concentrated in the metropolitan area of the capital, mainly in the municipality of San Luis Potosi, Soledad de Graciano Sanchez, Villa de Zaragoza, among others. Parks allows having that availability, which is the portfolio we go out and sale,” said Gustavo Puente, secretary of Economic Development.
For this year it is projected to end the
construction of the Server Industrial Park in Villa de Zaragoza, San Luis Potosi,
are about 80 hectares in which new companies can be installed; in addition, in
Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi, will be located another park focused to the
logistics sector. “The group of Server
businessmen bought a property land of almost 400 hectares on the Rio Verde
highway, where they are building an industrial park and one more adds which has
more than 300 hectares in the highway 57,” said Gustavo Puente.

FOR 2019
Three new companies will be installed at the WTC
Industrial Park for this year, thus was announced by Fermin Rodriguez, director
of marketing and sales.
The first one is Metal Technologies, which is
about to finish the construction of their industrial building, the second is a
company of German-Polish capital and the third one will be from the United
States.
The marketing and sales director said that the
first section of the park is 95 % of its capability, most of the companies
installed belong to the industrial sector; while the second section has 700
hectares available, and 40 percent of the companies are from the logistics
sector.
Fermin Rodriguez added that with
the opening of BMW Group Planta San Luis Potosi, is anticipated more companies
will settle in the entity, being the second section of the park an option for
them.
Schnellecke “On the first stage
of WTC we have the arrival of a logistics company supplier of BMW, its name is
Schnellecke, they already began operations inside BMW and on the first section
they will have a training center,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dinorah de la Torre,
marketing director of the Colinas de San Luis Industrial Park announced that
this year they will have the opening of the first Mexican company of the food
sector on their facilitates, since most of them belong to Japanese capital
Most of the 30 plants settled in
Colinas de San Luis are classified as Tier 1 and Tier 2, are assemblers’
suppliers, such as General Motors.
In addition of the increase in
production of companies located on their facilities, Dinorah de la Torre said
that most of them, before the opening of BMW and the industrial development
that presents the State, will began expansion problems on territorial reserves
they have in the park.
