At the close of the first quarter of 2024, the State of Mexico ranked second nationally in terms of foreign direct investment announcements, according to data from the Ministry of Economy. According to the ministry's monitoring, 73 announcements have been recorded, estimated to represent an investment of $31.512 billion over a period of two to four years.
So far, the entities that concentrate the majority of these investments are Querétaro with 18% and the State of Mexico, which will receive 14%, followed by Nuevo León with 10% and Puebla with 5%.
In response to this scenario, Construye Industrial continues to bet on economic development in Lerma, Toluca with the construction of its new Las Plazas II park, which will house 8 perfectly equipped warehouses to accommodate any industry, from automotive and manufacturing to logistics.
Las Plazas II: Innovation and Sustainability in Response to the Nearshoring Boom.
During the presentation of Las Plazas II, Alejandro Kahan, commercial coordinator of Construye Industrial, highlighted that this project emerges in response to the nearshoring boom that is occurring in the country, specifically in the Toluca area.
"We have large industry requirements to have industrial warehouses in the Ocoyoacac area. Las Plazas II is our third park here; the first warehouse will be completed in June with 17,560m2, a height of 12 at the minimum and 16 at the maximum, a floor resistance of 6 tons per m2, 14 docks, and 4 level ramps; it has all the necessary features for any industry to enter."
Regarding the new development, the commercial coordinator indicated that it is planned to be completed entirely by 2025, as customers require adaptations for optimal operation. In addition, the park will be LEED certified for its socio-environmental focus.
Construye Industrial has 40 years of market presence in Querétaro and the State of Mexico, offering everything from industrial warehouses to corporate offices and hotels, among others. The warehouses they develop are strictly studied with a proven design to ensure no defects or problems in the daily operation of companies.
