The Monterrey-Saltillo Highway Concessionaire (CAMS) has implemented a comprehensive set of measures to strengthen security on the Monterrey-Saltillo Highway, a vital transportation route in northeastern Mexico.

Notably, the measures include an advanced monitoring system comprising 59 strategically placed cameras along the highway, enabling continuous surveillance of all vehicles from entry to exit.

In addition, all access points to the highway are now fully monitored and controlled through video surveillance. CAMS has also recently reinforced its collaboration with government entities such as the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation of Nuevo León and the National Guard, aiming to enhance joint actions to ensure road safety and promote a safer and more efficient environment for all highway users.

The Monterrey-Saltillo Highway plays a fundamental role in strengthening the region’s mobility and economic development. For CAMS, road safety is a critical factor in ensuring optimal logistics performance and fostering a safer environment for transporters, business owners, and citizens in general.

Highway insecurity, one of the primary challenges, is a growing issue with both economic and social repercussions, impacting various sectors across the country. It can negatively affect supply chains, lead to increased costs due to additional security measures, and even result in a loss of trust from customers.

For this reason, CAMS believes that addressing the challenges of freight transport security requires an integrated approach combining quality infrastructure, advanced technology, and coordination between authorities and key industry players. Only through collaborative efforts can a safer and more efficient future for transportation in Mexico be achieved, boosting confidence and competitiveness in key economic sectors.
