Scania Mexico Invests MXN 22 Million in Expanding Its Branch in Culiacán
September 22, 2025
Scania Mexico announced the expansion of its branch in Culiacán, Sinaloa, with an investment of MXN 22 million to strengthen its presence in the Pacific corridor and meet the growing demand of the regional transport sector. The decision reinforces after-sales coverage and the availability of technical services for both cargo and passenger vehicles.
Capacity, employment, and customer service
The project increases operational and after-sales capacity for local and in-transit clients along a key route between Guadalajara and Tijuana. Opened in 2015, the branch now features 3,000 m² in the Desarrollo Urbano Tres Ríos area, with spaces designed for reception, diagnostics, and service.
“The trust of Pacific transport operators translates today into a significant expansion that will allow better service, greater capacity, and more comfortable spaces for our clients,” said Alejandro Mondragón, President and CEO of Scania Mexico.
The Culiacán operation serves more than 120 base clients and over 100 in transit, with emphasis on passenger buses and cargo solutions. The expansion creates new formal technical jobs in Sinaloa and promotes training in service, logistics, and specialized customer support.
Infrastructure and global standards
The new phase includes maintenance areas with advanced diagnostic technology, modern and functional design, and ample spaces for maneuvering, reception, and service. Scania reaffirms its sustainable operation under the Dealer Operating Standard certification, which guarantees standardized processes, response times, and quality aligned with headquarters.
The Pacific region accounts for 7% of Scania’s national rolling fleet and remains strategic due to its connectivity and growth rate. The expansion addresses demand for reliable suppliers, high parts availability, and preventive and corrective services under global standards of excellence.
“Culiacán is a key hub for transportation in the northwest; with this expansion we bring our value proposition closer to more customers and contribute to regional development from a technical, human, and sustainable perspective,” Mondragón concluded. With this opening, Scania Mexico advances its national expansion strategy, ensuring that every vehicle operates with the support of a solid, professional, and customer-focused network.
