Roma, Texas Promotes Economic Growth and Cross-Border Trade

The city of Roma, Texas showcased its competitive advantages and the opportunities it offers for the development of the logistics and manufacturing industries during a meeting with Humberto Martínez Cantú, the president of the national index. City officials and business leaders presented a range of strengths, including connectivity, available land, and a 30% increase in cross-border operations over the last six years through the Roma-Miguel International Bridge.
Roma's Mayor Jaime Escobar Jr., City Manager Alex Barrera, and Assistant City Manager Alfonso Ramírez highlighted these aspects, while business leaders like Sergio Gracia, president of Mexico Industry, and Dalith Cantú, industrial development executive at group CIL, emphasized the fruitful collaboration offered in South Texas.

The group also toured the "Las Américas Industrial and Logistics Park," which offers 144 acres for the operations of various businesses and industries. The progress of the secondary inspection station of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was also discussed, which will provide immediate services to companies for all their customs processes, enhancing operational efficiency.
This engagement between the national index and the city of Roma will be a turning point for economic development in South Texas by promoting new investments and job creation. On the Mexican side, it will provide opportunities for cross-border trade.
