Querétaro, a thriving economic hub, reveals a robust portfolio boasting 55 upcoming investment projects, as announced during the presentation of Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, the head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu) of Querétaro.

These initiatives represent a staggering investment of over 34,772 million pesos (mdp).
A remarkable 15,293 job opportunities were generated across various sectors in the state.
Economic Growth Overview:
Del Prete presented a comprehensive economic growth report for 2023, emphasizing achievements in new investments, job creation, exports, and support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (Mipymes).
Green Labor Poverty Indicator:
Querétaro maintained an impressive average growth rate of 3.9%, positioning itself with a green labor poverty indicator—indicating a lower level than the national average.
Noteworthy statistics include the creation of 45,700 new jobs from January to November, with the region securing the third spot nationally in formal labor rates (61.6%).
Major Investment Influx:
The year witnessed the realization of 52 projects, equating to one project per week.
A substantial investment of over 34,772 mdp was made, showcasing a growth of 10.6% compared to the previous year, with a notable 32.7% increase in the investment amount.
Cumulatively, since the inception of the administration, 103 projects have been executed, surpassing 61,110 mdp in investments and projecting 29,733 new jobs.
Presently, a promising portfolio of 55 projects awaits, with an investment potential exceeding 156,174 mdp and the potential creation of 26,204 job positions.
Export Expansion:
Querétaro experienced a remarkable 12.8% growth in exports from January to June.
The accumulated export value reached nine billion 115 million dollars (mdd).
Key export destinations included the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, and Germany, with automotive parts and accessories dominating the export category.
Querétaro's success story in 2023 showcases not only economic resilience but also strategic foresight in positioning itself as a regional economic powerhouse. The state continues to attract investments, create jobs, and strengthen its global trade footprint.
