Querétaro has established itself as a key production hub for Samsung Electronics in the Americas.

"Since 2003, the Querétaro plant has continuously evolved, becoming one of the company’s most important sites worldwide," said HS Jo, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Latin America.

This factory ranks among the most efficient globally, with a daily production exceeding 16,000 products and more than 4 million units annually.

At this facility, Samsung manufactures its most advanced refrigerator and washing machine models, including Bespoke, Top Mount Freezer, French Door Refrigerator, Family Hub, as well as the Laundry Hub top-load washers and front-load dryers.

From Querétaro, these products are supplied to North and Latin American markets—including key countries such as Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Argentina, and Uruguay—accounting for 80% of total production, while the remaining 20% serves the Mexican market.

World-Class Production

Most products manufactured in Querétaro feature the SmartThings platform, allowing users to manage their energy consumption with greater precision.

The plant integrates advanced "know-how" in producing efficient and smart home appliances. For example, its refrigerators include vacuum insulated panels, improving energy efficiency by approximately 20%.

"The integration of artificial intelligence and connectivity in our products is transforming consumers’ lives," emphasized HS Jo. Samsung aims to expand AI adoption through its "AI for All" initiative, which also extends to Latin America.

Innovation and Sustainability

The factory receives constant investments in new equipment and stands out for its use of advanced technologies, such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs), high-precision industrial robots, and quality control tools.

Samsung’s Querétaro plant employs more than 3,000 workers.
