Premieres GP Developments new Pocket Park in Juárez, NL

GP Desarrollos inaugurated the industrial facilities of “Pocket Park Oriente” in the municipality of Juárez, Nuevo León. It is a park strategically located east of the Monterrey metropolitan area with immediate access to the Monterrey - Reynosa highway and 15 minutes from the Mariano Escobedo International Airport, it has an area of ​​33 hectares that will allow the construction of 120,000 M2 of profitable area. The project was carried out thanks to a partnership between GP Developments, GP Housing and VIDUSA.

Pocket Park Oriente has been designed and built with international standards and the NOM “NMX-R-046-SCFI-2015”, issued by the Ministry of Economy, so it meets the necessary requirements for the development of industrial parks.

ADVANTAGE

Among the main competitive advantages of the Pocket Park Oriente are having a wide availability of skilled labor due to its proximity to large housing developments; its strategic location and the integral design specifications of the park, which will allow the reduction of maintenance costs for its users; as well as its geographical location close to important industrial centers and access important communication routes.

For the development of the project, around 1,200 million pesos were invested. It is expected that by 2030 the park will reach its maximum operational capacity, employing 3,200 people within the companies installed in it.

During the event, the mayor of Juárez, Heriberto Treviño, mentioned the importance of this new investment, since it is the first industrial park in the municipality of Juárez, which in addition to helping create new job opportunities, will allow the inhabitants of that municipality to find jobs within it, without the need to move daily to other places to carry out their work activities.

For his part, the president of Grupo GP, Jose María Garza Treviño, mentioned the flexibility of the “Pocket Park” concept, since he can offer inventory ships as well as develop “Built to Suit” projects, both for rent and for sale; In addition, it includes amenities such as a “Business Center”, functionality that supports the start-up of operations of future tenants in the park.

He also pointed out the importance of these types of investments, since they help to create formal and well-paid jobs that support the development and growth of the country.

Finally, the Minister of Economy and Labor of Nuevo Leon, Roberto Russildi, highlighted the growth in industrial parks promoted by GP Development, which places these parks near residential units, which allows people to optimize their daily mobility and increase your quality of life by having your work near home. He also noted the importance of investments in the sector, thus reinforcing the infrastructure of the state to attract foreign investment, where Nuevo Leon has been leading the country for the third consecutive year.

ABOUT POCKET PARKS

The "Pocket Parks" are industrial parks whose main characteristic have an area between 25 and 40 hectares, generating advantages such as flexibility locations, optimizations in the design of ships, safety improvements of the park, reduced maintenance costs and services, among others.

In the first quarter of 2020 it is planned to open the Pocket Park Escobedo, which will be added to the supply of industrial space GP Desarrollos has in the municipality.

Currently, the company is developing five “Pocket Parks”, which total approximately 200 hectares of land and just over 850,000 m2 of profitable area, contemplating an investment of more than 7,000 million pesos. The parks are located in the municipalities of Escobedo and Ciénega de Flores in Nuevo León; in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila; and in León, Guanajuato.
