PPG and PIAGA Open Advanced Coatings Distribution Hub in Nuevo León

A new industrial coatings distribution hub is now operational in Nuevo León, reinforcing supply chain capabilities for key manufacturing sectors in northern Mexico. PPG, in partnership with PIAGA and Expert Group, inaugurated the facility to expand regional access to advanced coating solutions for automotive, manufacturing, maintenance, construction, and aviation industries.
Designed as an integrated platform, the complex consolidates the distribution and commercialization of both industrial and architectural coatings under one operational model. The project responds to growing demand for specialized surface solutions in a region recognized as one of Mexico’s most concentrated manufacturing corridors.
Technology Integration for Industrial Coatings
A central technological feature of the facility is the implementation of the PPG MoonWalk system, an automated color-matching and mixing platform designed to improve operational efficiency in workshops and service centers. By reducing processing times and standardizing results, the system supports higher technical and service standards across the local coatings ecosystem.
The new hub represents an evolution in PIAGA’s operating model by combining global technology with localized technical support, product availability, and high-specialty solutions from a single distribution point. This structure is intended to streamline supply while enhancing responsiveness to the needs of industrial clients.
