March 21, 2026
Polymershapes inaugurated the expansion of its facility in Chihuahua, located within Parque Industrial Saucito, as part of its strategy to strengthen supply chains in northern Mexico and meet growing demand from strategic sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing.
Strategic expansion for northern Mexico’s industrial base
The new installation increases storage capacity, enhances operational infrastructure, and reduces delivery times, enabling the company to improve service levels across the region. This expansion responds to the need for closer, more efficient solutions for industries requiring high-performance plastic materials.
During the Open House event, the company showcased its portfolio of more than 20,000 products, along with its technical and logistics capabilities. The initiative aims to position Polymershapes as a key partner in advanced manufacturing processes and in the evolution of more efficient production chains.
Industry collaboration strengthens regional competitiveness
The event brought together representatives from Index Chihuahua and several industrial clusters, who highlighted the positive impact of the investment on regional competitiveness. Attendees included leaders from the automotive and aerospace clusters, sectors that rely on specialized materials to sustain their growth.
Company executives emphasized that the expansion reinforces Polymershapes’ long-term commitment to the Mexican market by ensuring the supply of engineering plastics and tailored solutions for industries such as construction, mining, and graphic communications.
Randall Giles, Commercial Director for Latin America, delivered the opening remarks, while Richard Gough, Global President of the company, underscored Chihuahua’s strategic importance within Polymershapes’ international network. Both noted that the investment aligns with Mexico’s sustained industrial growth.
The new facility also strengthens the company’s presence in the aerospace sector, where it holds international certifications that support its role as a reliable supplier. This positioning enables Polymershapes to meet stringent technical standards and expand its participation in global value chains.
With more than 80 years of experience, Polymershapes continues to expand its footprint in Mexico, aiming to generate specialized employment, drive industrial innovation, and respond more efficiently to market needs in the northern region.
