Parquesur Industrial Leon begins operations

 With an investment of 35 million dollars and the generation of 5 thousand jobs, Parquesur Leon Industrial began operations.

 Thereon, Juan Arturo Torres Landa, vice-president of the Board of Directors of Parquesur Leon Industrial, said that it is a privileged area as it is connected with the industrial polygon of the southern area of the city which has been developed, besides expanding the city’s growth.

 

“We have several benefits, as it is a plane property land, we have enough amount of water and quick access,” he detailed.

 

The polygon has a total property land extension of 292 hectares and includes 136 modular lots. The first stage observes 148 hectares where basic services will be developed such as drinking water networks, electric substation, natural gas, asphalt paving, among others.

 

He noted that the expansion of this Project encourages the attraction of companies and the generation of jobs toward this area of the city and the State, as they are planning on generating 5 thousand direct jobs.

 

“We are housing companies from different activities, those are from the automotive sector, logistics, food, among others, we are opened to any sector willing to settle in this area of the city,” he noted.

 

Encouraging an Industrial City

 

Regarding the industrial Project that will officially start operations, he reasserted that there is the commitment to create a union and collaboration tie with the people from the nearby communities, as he considered that with that, the economic development of the entire Municipality and the State is guaranteed.

 

“We have the vision that not letting it be only an industrial park, but for it to be a set of services, such as residential complexes, shopping centers, gas stations, more transportation, among other aspects, all that for workers be comfortable of having they workspace near and to improve life quality,” he noted.

 

Torres Landa anticipated the project will function as self-sufficient, therefore, he did not exclude another investment to develop and encourage this industrial city in the southern area of Leon, Guanajuato.

 

 Announced investment

At the opening event was announced the investment of American Industries in the acquisition of 20 hectares and 10 extras for future expansion, with an initial investment of 30 million dollars.

 

In this respect, Luis Lara Armendariz, CEO of American Industries, informed that as part of the company expansion in national territory, they settled their attention in Guanajuato due to the economic and automotive movement present in the area, and especially Leon for the services they offer, therefore, the company considered that the competitive advantages it offers are suitable to invest. “The project has about four years, we were analyzing options to settle in Guanajuato and tat municipality seemed to be the correct one and with the largest facilities,” he added.

 

Currently, the company is fulfilling visits to potential customers mainly in the United States, therefore, they will begin the construction of the first industrial building in October, the companies interest are of different sectors, from the automotive, Agri-food, and of sports products.
