ODATA, part of Aligned Data Centers, announced the launch of its new hyperscale data center QR04, located near San Miguel de Allende in the Querétaro region. Designed to meet the surging demand for cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) services, QR04 completes a network of four interconnected hyperscale data centers in Mexico.
This network enables clients to establish and expand operations across multiple sites while ensuring redundancy for resilient cloud and AI environments. By addressing the challenge of reliable energy supply, ODATA reinforces its position as a leader in sustainable hyperscale infrastructure in the country.
Technical Innovation and Energy Efficiency
The QR04 facility was designed with a total IT capacity of 24 MW, with the first phase of 12 MW already operational. Among its key innovations is the Delta Cube (Delta³) air-cooling system, developed and patented by Aligned Data Centers. This technology maximizes thermal efficiency and supports power densities of up to 50 kW per rack with air cooling, while also integrating seamlessly with liquid cooling for high-density AI, ML, and HPC deployments.
A closed-loop water system enables efficient IT environment cooling with high water usage effectiveness (WUE), continuous reuse, and minimal environmental impact.
Economic Impact and Regional Projection
The data center is already serving hyperscale clients, confirming the rising demand for high-density infrastructure in Mexico. Its construction generated more than 1,500 local jobs, strengthening regional economic development and reinforcing Mexico’s role as a strategic technology hub for Latin America.
Through QR04 and its network of interconnected facilities, ODATA is advancing cloud and AI solutions while driving Mexico’s competitiveness in digital infrastructure.
