In a decisive move to enhance industrial competitiveness and attract investment, the Government of Nuevo León—through its Ministry of Economy—has signed collaboration agreements with the state's leading industry clusters.
During the signing ceremony, Secretary of Economy Betsabé Rocha emphasized that this initiative is part of the 2025 Economic Strategy, which aims to build a more competitive, innovative, and sustainable economy focused on SMEs, investment, and talent development.
“Today we reaffirm that clusters are strategic allies in strengthening value chains, driving technological innovation, attracting investment, promoting regional development, and upskilling talent,” Rocha stated, highlighting the importance of collaboration between government, industry, and society.
Strategic Clusters and Productive Transformation
The agreement involves clusters representing key industries in Nuevo León: automotive, aerospace, agri-food, healthcare, energy, logistics, nanotechnology, housing, software, creative media, tourism, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. This broad scope reflects the diversity and strength of the state’s industrial base.
The collaboration will establish clear mechanisms for joint promotion, information sharing, and aligned agendas to accelerate the region’s productive transformation and improve its global competitiveness.
Economic Growth and National Leadership
According to the Ministry of Economy, Nuevo León is experiencing historic economic momentum. In the first quarter of 2025, the state contributed 20.2% of Mexico’s total economic growth, achieved the nation’s lowest informal labor rate at 32.5%, and recorded its lowest unemployment rate since 2005, at 2.8%.
Since October 2021, the state has secured 382 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects totaling USD 75.5 billion, expected to generate over 380,000 jobs.
The state government reiterated its commitment to maintaining Nuevo León’s position as a national leader in competitiveness, investment attraction, and job creation—advancing an economic policy that brings together business, academia, and civil society to drive regional and national development.
Through this new alliance, Nuevo León not only strengthens its strategic industries, but also positions itself as an international benchmark for innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
