Monterrey Digital Hub launches the Nuevo León Artificial Intelligence Cluster to position the state as Latin America's leading hub for industrial and corporate AI transformation.

In the heart of Monterrey, a new era of industrial innovation is taking shape. As part of its 7th anniversary celebration, Monterrey Digital Hub announced three major milestones that redefine its strategic vision toward 2030. Chief among them was the official launch of the Nuevo León Artificial Intelligence Cluster, a groundbreaking alliance between the private sector, academia, and government aimed at transforming the state into Latin America’s leading hub for industrial and corporate AI.

Backed by major corporations such as FEMSA, CEMEX, IBM, Alfa, Arca Continental, and Banorte, alongside institutions like Tec de Monterrey, UANL, and UDEM, the initiative embraces AI not only as a technology, but as a foundational infrastructure for the future of industry.

A Strategic Platform for Ethical, Scalable AI Adoption

The Nuevo León AI Cluster is designed to serve as a comprehensive platform for the ethical and strategic development of artificial intelligence in key sectors. The initiative will include:

  • An industrial AI innovation center
  • Specialized testing laboratories
  • A regulatory and ethics committee
  • Advanced training programs
  • Multilateral funding mechanisms to support digital transformation in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and energy

The cluster will also enable collaboration between corporations, startups, and universities, linking real-world business opportunities with data scientists, developers, and tech entrepreneurs.

Plan 2030: A Roadmap for Digital Leadership

As part of the event, Monterrey Digital Hub unveiled its 2030 Strategic Plan, a blueprint to establish Monterrey as the digital capital of Latin America. The plan outlines:

  • Over 100 tech pilot programs
  • The expansion of an interconnected digital community
  • New verticals focused on sustainability, customer experience, and operational efficiency

Digital Hub Ventures: Investing in Disruptive B2B Talent

Complementing this strategy is the announcement of Digital Hub Ventures, a co-investment platform launched in partnership with AngelHub. The fund will target early-stage B2B tech startups in Mexico, from Seed to Series A, focusing on:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • SaaS
  • Blockchain
  • Digital sustainability

The goal is to create a robust open innovation model that combines capital, mentorship, and access to major corporate networks.

Seven Years of Impact, One Shared Vision

Since its founding in 2018, Monterrey Digital Hub has connected over 25 leading corporations with 100 startups, universities, and global tech partners such as IBM, SAP, Google, and Microsoft.

The launch of the AI Cluster not only advances this mission, but also reinforces Nuevo León’s position on the global map of digital transformation and knowledge economy development.
