NL seeks attracting investment to the aerospace sector

During the participation of Nuevo Leon at the Farnborough
International Airshow fair in the United Kingdom, representatives from SEDET,
through the Business Nuevo Leon and the Montrrey Aerocluster gathered with
about 30 companies inside the stand settled by the State.
The most important fair in the aerospace sector lasted 5 days there were more than 1,500 of the most important companies in the world. “The intention was to position the name of Nuevo Leon as an attractive destination to invest and do business,” said Hector Tijerina, director of Nuevo Leon Investment.
“We have been gathering with different foreign companies, many of them French, Britain and American; also foreign companies located in the entity such as PCC, Parker, Castol metals and Frisa approached the stand,” detailed Tijerina.
He assured that companies have announced their expansion projects that they have observed in the entity. “We have received good acceptance when sharing the competitive advantages of the State to attract companies from the sector. Nuevo Leon highlights for the more than 10 aerospace companies between Tier1 and Tier2, 22 maintenance workshops of airplanes, 4 repairing stations certified by the FAA, 2 airports and the largest private airplanes fleet in Mexico,” highlighted the Investment director.
On the other side he explained that the representation
office located in southern France since last year is being operated by a French
employee with wide knowledge in the aerospace sector and that additionally
lived in Monterrey.
