Nidec Motor Corporation continues to grow at its largest brushless DC motor manufacturing  plant in Monterrey, Nuevo León, where it invested $18 million .

It should be noted that this company manufactures and markets refrigeration solutions  for dishwasher motors, washing machines, dryers, components for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

In the country, Nidec is present in the states of Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, where they produce four brands of products and its workforce is around 5,000 employees: in Nuevo León, its three factories have 2,500 employees; in Reynosa, 1,200.

The investment plan of the Japanese capital company has several reasons, one of them stems from the Covid-19 pandemic: people spend more time at home, so it has become increasingly important to reassess the level of quality and energy efficiency of residential appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and dryers.

Nidec has a workforce of 15,000 people, 14 manufacturing plants, nine research and development centers, four commercial offices and two headquarters in Brazil and Italy. Regarding annual production of motors and compressors, the volume is around 70 million units sold in more than 80 countries.
