New medical plant arrives in Baja California with projected sales of more than 1,000 million dollars

Baja California maintains its leadership as an investment pole with the opening of the first mass design and manufacturing plant for a new system of dental aligners , belonging to the US company CANDID .

According to the Undersecretary of State Economic Development , Michelle Guerrero Jaimes, this plant was attracted by the TECMA Group of Companies , which comes to strengthen the medical device industry in which Baja California is a leader.

The state official expressed that the multinational companies that decide to settle in the entity have everything to take advantage of the opportunities that are generated regionally, since they have the support of the State Government.

He also assured that the entity has a strategy to develop human talent that will allow Baja California to transform from a cost center to a value center.
"The entity and Tijuana are suitable places for the construction and operation of the company due to the competent medical cluster, technical capacity and talent training by the different universities in our State and the proximity to the central offices in southern California," he noted. In its first five years of operation, he affirmed, more than 750 direct jobs will be generated with a projection of sales of more than 1,000 million dollars .
Meanwhile, the president and CEO of the TECMA Group of Companies, Alan Russell, mentioned that they are grateful to CANDID for choosing TECMA  for the development and management of every aspect of the operation of their new plant.

For his part, Nick Greenfield, CEO of the company CANDID, mentioned via teleconference that the work of this Baja Californian talent force will directly help to benefit tens of thousands of smiles. It is that within the new plant will be carried out research and development, innovation and the operation of manufacturing.
