Sedesu, the Secretaría de Desarrollo Sostenible (Sustainable Development), recently showcased the array of opportunities Querétaro offers for nearshoring, making it a highly appealing choice for companies seeking expansion. During the 10th-anniversary celebration of the National Council of the Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry (index), Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, the head of Sedesu, emphasized the state's impressive capabilities for company relocation.

The Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (Imco) ranks Querétaro as the second most competitive state in Mexico, solidifying its dedication to excellence. Additionally, the World Justice Project's Rule of Law Index positions Querétaro at the forefront, excelling in critical factors such as low corruption, protection of fundamental rights, and a robust criminal justice system. These accolades enhance Querétaro's reputation as a reliable and trustworthy destination for prospective investors.

Querétaro's significant strides in industrial developments and infrastructure further enhance its appeal. The state boasts an impressive 47 industrial parks, six micro-parks, and over 4,000 hectares with an outstanding 91% occupancy rate, offering ample space for new investment ventures. Additionally, Querétaro provides highly competitive electricity prices and top-notch infrastructure, establishing a solid foundation for seamless operations and growth.

A notable achievement in the energy sector includes the construction of a substation by the State Energy Agency, along with the expansion of the QPM electrical substation and various repowering projects. These visionary initiatives aim to create a modern, secure, reliable, and versatile energy transmission system, unlocking numerous benefits for businesses operating within the state.
