Mubea Opens Third Plant in Amistad Chuy María Industrial Park, Coahuila

German company Mubea inaugurated a new plant in the Amistad Chuy María Industrial Park in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, with an investment of $60 million. The facility will produce composite springs made of fiberglass and resin for automotive chassis.
Production is expected to begin in 2025, creating more than 200 new jobs in the region and further enhancing Coahuila’s position within the global automotive supply chain.
This is Mubea’s third production facility in the state, covering 208,565 square feet and featuring cutting-edge technology. The plant marks the third project Mubea has undertaken with industrial developer Amistad.

This new location represents an exciting expansion for Mubea and reinforces our commitment to innovation and excellence in automotive components. We are grateful for the teamwork and dedication that brought this facility to life, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on the community and our industry,” said James Sheehan, CEO of Mubea North America, who also thanked Coahuila’s governor, Manolo Jiménez, for his support.
The governor highlighted that Coahuila has attracted investments exceeding 95 billion pesos so far this year, generating thousands of jobs.
“This investment reinforces Coahuila's role in the automotive supply chain and demonstrates the trust that leading companies like Mubea have in our industrial and workforce capabilities,” the governor stated.
He added that new capital investments have allowed Coahuila to rank among the top regions nationwide for competitiveness, labor formalization, quality of life, and economic development.
Luis Olivares Martínez, Secretary of Economy, commented that with this new plant, Mubea strengthens its presence in Mexico and reaffirms its confidence in Coahuila.
