Moroccan Ambassador Visits Guadalajara and Strengthens Ties with Uni-Trade

Morocco’s Ambassador to Mexico visits Guadalajara and strengthens international ties with Uni-Trade, highlighting Jalisco’s growing role as a global logistics hub.
On July 3, the Ambassador of Morocco to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, visited Guadalajara, Jalisco, as part of an effort to enhance economic and logistics cooperation between the two countries. During his visit, he toured the facilities of Grupo Uni-Trade, a leading provider of foreign trade and logistics solutions across Mexico and North America, accompanied by its president, Eduardo A. Garza Robles.
The visit allowed the Ambassador to gain firsthand insight into Uni-Trade’s innovative infrastructure and operational model, which have positioned the company as a strategic player in regional logistics. Ongoing projects that promote commercial integration with international markets, including Africa, were also highlighted during the tour.
A Meeting with Industry and Transportation Leaders
As part of the visit, a business reception was held in honor of the Ambassador, bringing together key figures from the industrial, logistics, and academic sectors. Attendees included Miguel Ángel Martínez Millán, National President of CANACAR; Gamaliel Contreras Huerta, CEO of Grupo CHG; and Antonio Lancaster-Jones González, Coordinator of the Jalisco Council of Industrial Chambers.
In his remarks, Garza Robles emphasized that the visit “marks a strong step toward greater integration and cooperation between Mexico and Morocco,” reiterating Uni-Trade’s commitment to building bridges that foster mutual growth.
The event was made possible thanks to the support of Contreras Huerta, who served as host and facilitator, helping to create an ideal environment for exchanging ideas and exploring new commercial opportunities.
