He noted that the arrival of new companies will generate about 5,000 direct jobs, as he anticipated that there are observed at least seven projects of foreign investment.

“We have the report that the adequacy of spaces for companies continues on several industrial parks for companies about to start the construction of their plants, many of them will be the first ones in Latin America, that is why we are assured that the investment and projects will continue during the upcoming years,” he said.

He noted that most of these investments come from national capital, but also from Japanese and European, same that will be settled during this year and that sum more than 2,500 million pesos.

However, he noted that with these investments are also investment projects on hotels, restaurants and at least two shopping centers of great dimension, as foreign population has increased on this municipality, as well as the number of inhabitants, since the arrival of people from different municipalities of the state of Guanajuato and States from the northern area of the country is registered.

Likewise, he determined that the growth towards the northern part of the city has rebounded with the arrival of companies but also of the creation of residential complexes to face the housing demand in the city.

REBOUND ON TRADITIONAL SECTORS

Even though, Luis Hernandez said that one of the main activities in Irapuato, is commerce, this has unchained that many companies dedicated to market a product see the opportunity of joining the services suppliers’ chain for any institution, Government office, but also for national and international companies.

He emphasized that he knows that about 2,500 Japanese live in the entity, from which 50 % are settled in Irapuato, therefore it is very important to bet on improving the services addressed to this foreign community specifically.

He noted that the growing dynamic in the services sector will continue, mainly in the northern area that will have a rebound with the opening of the Fourth Vial Belt, and the improvement of roads.

Likewise, he explained that other areas that have been attractive for industrial parks’ developers are the southern area and the exit Abasolo, since it represents an exponential growth together with the attraction of industrial investment.
