Monterrey's Growth Catalyst: BBVA Mexico's 570 Million Peso Headquarters Investment

BBVA México has just unveiled its new corporate headquarters in Monterrey, Nuevo León, situated in the Torre Obispado, backed by an investment exceeding 570 million pesos.
As part of its strategy, the bank announced the relocation of 553 employees to the new Northeast Divisional headquarters. This move aims to synchronize the employee experience with that of their counterparts at the BBVA Tower in Mexico City, fostering enhanced teamwork and collaboration.
The Northeast Division, spanning Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Durango, and Nuevo León, will host divisional directors overseeing various banking sectors, including Business and Government, Commercial, Wealth Management, Mortgage, Automotive, and Small and Medium Enterprises.
The Torre Obispado, a modern edifice spanning nine floors, will house six divisions, along with support areas, offices, dining facilities, a medical service area, and a terrace. Notably, it features an "Open Space" floor and a multipurpose room.
During the inauguration ceremony, Governor Samuel García of Nuevo León underscored the significance of partnerships for economic development, underscoring the region's appeal to global corporations. Among the attendees were BBVA executives, including Vice President and Country Director Eduardo Osuna, alongside the State Secretary of Economy, Iván Rivas.
