MONEX Bank Opens New Office at Guanajuato Puerto Interior

The inauguration of MONEX Bank's office within the G100 complex at Guanajuato Puerto Interior (GPI) in Silao marks a significant milestone. MONEX, a 100% Mexican financial institution with over 38 years of experience, is renowned as a leader in the foreign exchange and international payments market.

With 31 branches across Mexico serving over 67,400 clients, MONEX also has a global presence with offices in Washington, New York, Los Angeles, and Houston in the United States, as well as in Toronto, Canada. Through MONEX Europa, it operates in London, Madrid, Amsterdam, and Luxembourg, and in Asia, it is present in Singapore.

Governor Diego Sinhue attributed the opening of this banking office at Puerto Interior to the favorable conditions offered by Guanajuato, bolstered by the state's attractiveness to companies opting for nearshoring.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, Governor of Guanajuato; Héctor Lagos Dondé, CEO of Banco MONEX; and Mauricio Naranjo González, Managing Director of Banco MONEX. Also present were Carlos García Villaseñor, Mayor of Silao; Ramón Alfaro Gómez, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development; Katsumi Itagaki, Consul General of Japan in León; Gilberto Salazar Salazar, Executive Director of Business Ventures; and Héctor López Santillana, CEO of Guanajuato Puerto Interior. Executives from the financial institution and local and federal legislators also attended the event.
